Vitoria-Gasteiz, 26 November 2004. Gamesa Aeronáutica has received a special mention at the MSC.Software World Users Conference in recognition of its dedicated commitment to the use of advanced simulation tools, as provided by this IT company.
Mr. José Luis Osoro Larruscain, CEO of Gamesa Aeronáutica, was the person chosen to receive this award, which took place during the course of MSC.Software?s World Users Conference, held between 21 and 23 November in Munich (Germany).
Gamesa Aeronáutica, part of the Gamesa Group, is the supplier of aeronautical structures and components to leading aeronautics manufacturers, such as Embraer, Bombardier, Airbus and Sikorsky. In the business of calculation engineering and product design, the use and application of the tools for numerical simulation and computer assisted engineering (CAE) constitute an essential element that allows for reducing development cycles and improving the quality of the end product. An example of this concerns the results that have been displayed at one of the Conference´s technical sessions, in which Gamesa Aeronáutica has also been invited to make a presentation, regarding the use of non-linear methods of analysis for estimating the prior and subsequent responses to the warping of aeronautical structures. The results forthcoming in this field have enabled design solutions to be proposed that have meant a significant reduction in the weight of the structures.
