Vitoria-Gasteiz,19th January 2004. Gamesa has bought 100% of the company Enertron located in Madrid for an amount of 2,3 million euros. The company is specialized in the design and manufacture of integrated power electronic systems.
Enertron, that has a wide experience in its sector of activity, is located in Torres de la Alameda and has a staff of 30 employees.
The activity of Gamesa in the area of energy implies the use electronic power components to assure the reliability and the quality of the energy put to the grid and to adapt in real time a series of parameters like the physical characteristics of tension, intensity and frequency.
This transaction fits within the process of modular vertical integration that is considered to be strategic for the technological and economic success of the project of design and manufacture of WTG of Gamesa Eólica.
Companies like, Unión Fenosa, Endesa, Iberdrola, ABB, Enagas, Babcock & Wilcox, Isofoton, Endesa Diversificación, BP Solar, AVE-Cobra, Repsol YPF, Aena and Initec are customers of Enertron.
