- Grupo Daniel Alonso: Founded on 1957, Grupo Daniel Alonso is a management group from Asturias, established in the whole country with a business volume of around 140 million euros and a work force of 1,600 employees; focusing its activities on transforming and manufacturing capital goods, environmental services, and automotive products. On June, 2007 Gamesa and Grupo Daniel Alonso joined their business of towers for wind turbine generators to create a world leading manufacturing company: WINDAR. In operative terms, the project will be able to manufacture around 2,000 MW of towers per year and the production centres will develop around 170,000 Tm of steel related products annually.
- Bergé Negocios Marítimos is a company specializing in the marine and logistics sector. The company’s marine area has a presence in Spain’s 28 main ports and performs all kinds of port. The logistics area is specialized in automotive logistics and industrial services and has a great presence in the steel, automotive, industrial and renewable energy sectors. In October 2007, Gamesa and Bergé announced the creation of Compass Transworld Logistics (CTL). This joint venture ships Gamesa’s finished products manufactured at its Spanish plants to ports in the United States and China, as well as to their final destination in the rest of the world.
- LM Glasfiber is the world’s leading supplier of blades for wind turbines, and the only supplier that operates on a global basis. We have achieved this strong position in a business distinctive for international growth via a consistent focus on research, product development, quality and excellent customer service. LM Glasfiber supplies blades to Gamesa in the American and European markets.
- Global Energy Services, a part of 3i group, undertakes a range of project-related work for a wide spread of process industries and utilities, and has an impressive client list. GES began to develop an international presence, with operations in Germany, Italy and Portugal where the development and implementation of wind energy is well established. The company’s experienced management team is playing a key role in helping the business fulfil its global potential. Gamesa and GES work together all around the world in several projects.
