Among the different sources of energy, renewable are those produced on an ongoing basis never ending to human scale. The sun is at the root of all renewable energies because the heat on the Earth causes the pressure differences that give rise to the winds, source of wind power. The sun orders the water cycle, it causes evaporation that predisposes the formation of clouds, and thus the rain. Also from the sun comes hydropower. The plants use the sun to perform photosynthesis, live and grow. All that matters is the biomass. Finally, the sun draws directly on solar energy, both thermal and photovoltaic.

It is estimated that the energy contained in the wind accounts for
approximately 2% of the total amount of solar energy that reaches the
Earth.
The environmental advantages can be listed as the detail of impacts that are not produced, and which are attributable to other energies.
