United Nations engagement
In June 2007, Gamesa joined the Global Business Leadership Platform on Climate Change by signing the statement Caring for Climate: The Business Leadership Platform. This Global Compact initiative seeks the involvement of businesses and governments with the adoption of measures against the climate change. Support the statement commits Gamesa to increase energy efficiency, GHGs reduction and to work collaboratively with other enterprises and public or private organizations.
Up to day, 186 companies have joined the platform.
