Principles of CSR and code of conduct

As important step towards sustainability, Gamesa approved the Principles and Code of Conduct  in October 2005, that are the expression of the ethical corporate values of the company.

CSR PRINCIPLES

Fundamental rights and liberties

  • Respect for the law and international rights and liberties
  • Avoiding complicity in violating international rights and liberties

Labor rights

  • Freedom of association and affiliation and the right to collective bargaining
  • Rejection of forced or mandatory labour. Elimination of child labour.

Human Assets

  • Promoting training and preventing discrimination

Community

  • Cooperating with the communities in which the company conducts its activities

Safety, Health and Environment

  • Commitment to sustainable development and a focus on prevention

Research and Innovation

  • Support for research into technologies that respect the environment
  • Suppliers and contractors are required to act according to Gamesa’s Corporate Social Responsibility regarding the environment.

Corporate Governance

  • Rejecting corruption of all types

The Code of Conduct that develops these Principles is the formal expression of the values and good practices that will guide Gamesa’s conduct and that of all personnel subject to this Code of Conduct when carrying out its responsibilities and functions. The Code is a statement of the company’s willingness to comply with good business ethics and will act as a document for consultation in cases of conflict of interests.
