Down Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI)
In September 2007, Gamesa was selected as a component of the selective stock-market indexes family Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI), which lists the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. Following economic, social and environmental criteria, the index assess company’s Corporate Responsibility performance.
Gamesa has been included in DJSI World, comprised by 318 companies worldwide (17 of them Spanish) and in DJSI STOXX, comprised by 156 companies (14 Spanish).
Only top 10% of the 2500 eligible companies worldwide are selected to join the index, after being rigorously evaluated by an independent agency (SAM-Sustainability Assets Management).
For the inclusion in the indexes, this independent agency evaluates different Gamesa management areas, such as Corporate Governance, customers and suppliers management, environment, labour and human rights aspects, risk management, etc. where Gamesa has demonstrated an outstanding and sustainable performance.
