European Technology Platform (TPWind)
The European Commission set up TPWind under the aegis of the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA). The aim of TPWind is to be a decision-making forum for research policies and technology development in the wind power sector, as well as to give the Member States the chance to collaborate informally. The EWEA expects that it will serve to coordinate R&D efforts and define research needs as clearly as possible. Companies from the industry, the Government, civil society, R&D institutions and financial institutions are taking part at both a national and an EU-wide level.
