Gamesa is one of the main wind turbine manufacturers worldwide and leader in Spain in the sector of the manufacture, sale and installation of wind turbines. In 2008, it was ranked third worldwide in wind turbines supplied, with more than 16,000 MW installed and with an accumulated market share of 14% (BTM Consult ApS).
Gamesa has its own extensive design and technological development capability for wind turbines, as well as the largest integral production capacity, comprising the manufacturing of blades, root joints, blade moulds, gearboxes, generators, converters and towers, besides assembling the wind turbines (manufacturing facilities in US, Europe and Asia).
Gamesa offers a wide product range composed of wind turbines in the 850 kW sector (Gamesa G5X-850 kW) and wind turbines in the multi-megawatt sector (Gamesa G8X-2.0 MW and the new platform Gamesa G10X-4.5 MW), whose hallmarks are their robustness, reliability, maximal performance and adaptability to all kinds of sites and wind conditions.
The marketing and maintenance of Gamesa equipment is undertaken on a global basis, through the trust and peace-of-mind provided by proximity to the customer. Gamesa has already supplied wind turbines to the US, Germany, Italy, France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Ireland, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Mexico, Argentina, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, India, China or Japan among other countries.
Currently, Gamesa is one of the leading suppliers of wind power turbines in three of the 10 main markets in the world. In its design, manufacturing and commercial activities Gamesa has an extensive network that includes its own companies and commercial offices in a number of countries spread over four different continents.
The application of the best, most modern technologies, together with great industrial potential, makes it possible for Gamesa to design and manufacture wind turbines that are increasingly more advanced.
